Processed Foods and Autoimmune Disease

We are no fans of processed food for many reasons. Processed foods include a lot more than just microwaveable meals. According to the NHS (National Health Service, England) the term ‘processed food’ “applies to any food that has been altered from its natural state in some way, either for safety reasons or convenience.” If you think about such a definition, it’s easily understood that this includes your breakfast cereal, the bacon you have with your English breakfast, the store-bought salad dressing you dress your salad with, the crisps you eat with your lunch, the frozen dinner or the popcorn you nibble on in front of the TV, and much more.
